Filmmaker Photographer

Born in Winnipeg, a graduate of NSCAD University and now based in Vancouver where for 20 years he has been creating media for both business and the arts. He produced and directed the documentary Farm Futures, and was director of photography on many national network documentary films including Pretty Boys, I Want a Woman, Tailor Made, Secrets, CD Hoy: Portraits from the Frontier, Behind the Mascot and Paris Stories: The Writing of Mavis Gallant. His own art films have screened internationally on television and film festivals tours including Nocturne, chosen best national experimental film by CBC. Working with local dancers, writers and musicians, he has produced and directed many short films for the CTV/Bravo! channel. His most recent art film in release is VANCOUVER, a multi perspective portrait of Vancouver, featuring the photographs of Fred Herzog and original score by jazz legend Tony Wilson. He is currently directing a documentary for the Canadian National Film Board series measuring the human side of the economic crisis, GDP.NFB.
